FROM RURAL TO PLURAL - Partnership building activities – Bran, Romania

Two partnership building activities will take place in Bran, Romania:

18th and 26th of January 2024 - first activity - 2 participants

29th of February – 8th of March 2024 - second activity - 2 different participant than on previous activity


1. Networking and Relationship Building: One of the primary goals is to foster strong networks among different organizations working with rural youth across Europe. This involves creating opportunities for these organizations to connect, share experiences, and discuss potential collaborations.

2. Skill and Knowledge Development: The activity will focus on enhancing the skills and knowledge of the participants in areas relevant to rural youth organizing, such as strategic development of youth groups, youth policy formation, and community engagement strategies.

3. Understanding the European Youth Village Program: An important objective is to provide comprehensive insights into how the European Youth Village program operates. This includes an in-depth look at its methodologies, goals, and the frameworks it employs to empower rural youth.

4. Planning Collaborative Projects: The activity will be an opportunity for organizations to brainstorm and plan potential collaborative projects that align with the goals of the European Youth Village program. This includes discussions on shared initiatives, exchange programs, or joint advocacy efforts.

5. Sharing Best Practices: Participants will have the chance to share and learn best practices in the field of rural youth development. This exchange of ideas and strategies can help enhance the effectiveness of each organization's work.

6. Empowerment of Rural Youth: A key focus will be on discussing and developing strategies to empower young people from rural areas. This includes exploring ways to involve them in learning and development opportunities at an international level.

7. Cultural Exchange and Understanding: Since participants will be from various parts of Europe, the activity also serves as a platform for cultural exchange and fostering a deeper understanding of the diverse contexts and challenges faced by rural youth in different countries.

8. Setting the Foundation for Future Collaboration: Lastly, this mobility will lay the groundwork for future collaborative efforts among the participant organizations, setting a strong foundation for the continued expansion and success of the European Youth Village program.


We are seeking youth workers, organizers, or leaders who are: - At least 18 years of age - Actively engaged in youth work within rural communities - Eager to enhance their abilities to engage with rural youth - Interested in connecting with our European Youth Village initiative, which is integral to our strategic plan for expanding the program across Europe. Each collaborating organization will nominate 2 individuals per mobility event.

Participants must demonstrate their youth work experience through a resume or equivalent documentation. Selection criteria include: educational needs, motivation, learning goals, age requirement (18+), gender consideration (to maintain gender balance), and the availability to fully participate in the mobility event (commitment to all scheduled days), as well as their specific experience in working with rural youth.

Travel expenses are calculated in line with Erasmus+ guidelines, utilizing the distance calculator from the city where the sending organization is based to the location of the mobility event. For participants from the Czech Republic, the standard travel allowance is 275 EUR for modes of transport such as flights and cars, while an allocation of 320 EUR is provided for green travel options like trains and buses.
